arrest warrants served throughout the city. this street was blocked off for several hours this morning is now back open. but just up the block, police are inside of a home. want to show you what this looks like. a s.w.a.t. tame converged on a home here at 13th avenue near 19th street -- team converged on a home here at 13th avenue near 19th street. a man and a woman were taken from a house here. it's unclear what the charges are. a sergeant on the scene confirms to me that a number of people, more than just those two, were taken into that custody as part of a series that were done at multiple locations throughout oakland. we talked a short time ago with a neighbor. she said she woke up to police activity outside of her apartment. >> i looked out of my window

and it was like this all of these blue, red lights everywhere. and everybody is pointing to the house. what's going on in that house that's so serious? i don't know what it is. i have never heard anything that bad. so what's actually going on in there? >> reporter: it's unclear what was going on inside the home that caught the attention of oakland police officers. but again, officers are inside the home. they are executing a search warrant there. collecting evidence there, a couple of officers standing by. but the situate operation has been ended here. so the s.w.a.t. team is done with their operation. a number of people have been taken into custody trying to gather more information and learn what those warrants -- what those arrest warrants were. we hope to speak to the department. we hope to have more information later on here on "mornings on 2." we're live in oakland.

them about not getting abortions. new information about another controversy involving pg&e pipeline safety. according to the san francisco "chronicle" pg&e said pipelines in the east bay in san jose are safe without proof of inspections. about 400 miles are in question. they one under martinez, newark, fremont and san jose. the pipelines were considered at risk of corrosion failures. pg&e is blaming faulty record- keeping for the testy oversight. a police officer is facing charges of child molestation. robert hodges was arrested yesterday. he's accused of molesting a girl in his family between 2009 and 2010. he's a 15-year veteran of the police department. he's now been placed on administrative leave during the investigation. 7:19. state hospital workers are

planning to gather outside napa state hospital tonight to remember a psychiatric technician who was killed two years ago. police say donna gross was strange. ed by a patient in october of 2010. 38-year-old jeff mathy is serving 25 years to life in prison for the crime. tonight's memorial will take place at 6:00 at the entrance of the state hospital. workers signed supports to improve safety conditions for workers at the -- workers at the hospital. amazon's business clients were affected for seice being out. and yahoo!'s stock is

of debate fatigue. >> reporter: it was a flatline here. the republicans decided to send out all of their surrogates. the first debate was the one in which i got the real ac-- real reactions. we have to get our response out and by the third, they were preprogrammed and ready to go last night. i got the sense that the candidates were playing it safe as well. mitt romney could have attacked the president on libya, he did not. the president could have really used the rom -- romnesia comment. he did not. maybe both sides deciding they didn't want to go too negative

a rare tornado caused damage north of sacramento. here's video of a funnel cloud that touched down around 3:15 yesterday afternoon near yuba city. the twister downed trees and power lines. this is the aftermath, this is elk grove around 5:00. the winds also knocked down fences and damaged some roofs.

several funnel clouds were reported in the area stretching east to the foothills. ikea will officially announce plans for completely green energy. ikea plans to rely on wind and solar energy to power all ikea stores. they plan to replace 1.2 million incan defendantant light bull -- incan dessant -- incandescan light bulbs.

the police were. s.w.a.t. teams and police troops filled their neighborhood. ktvu's alex savidge is in the area of 13th avenue and 19th street to tell us more. >> reporter: police are still gathering more evidence. this is one of many places where search warrants were served early this morning. we understand accord egg -- according to a sergeant i spoke to, a series of search warrants were delivered. a sergeant told me officers had arrest warrants for a number of people. he couldn't talk about the specifics of this investigation, what exactly it pertains to, but obviously, there were a lot of activity. a lot of people say they were

after dupont slashed earnings forecast. the latest piece of bad news. taking a live look at the big board, the dow is currently down 255. that is down almost 2%. the nasdaq down 36. s&p down 24. pete's coffee is being dropped from the standard and poor's small cap 600 index. that's because pete's, which has its current corporate headquarters in emeryville, is being bought by a private germany conglomerate. it will be replaced by coherent, incorporated, a santa clara company. if you have less than $500 in emergency savings you are not alone. according to a new survey, 41% of the americans are in the same situation. 1100 people were polled and nearly half had less than $500 in the bank. that includes dual income
